Translation: Liberty for all the oppressed and unappreciated politicans in Honduras. Populist Liberation Movement (MPL) Cinchonero
Posted in the National Autonomous University of Honduras. Most political posters were made at the offset presses at the university -- though there is also the possibility that they were produced in Nicaragua and brought into Honduras. After Daniel Ortega and Tomas Borge were wounded and captured, they were released and then went to the hospital at the university in Honduras, whose doctor was a guerrilla fighter in Honduras.

Human rights violations in Honduras, including the use of torture and death squads, dramatically escalated in the 1980s. John Negroponte, one of the principal figures in carrying out U.S. policy in Central America, was Ambassador to Honduras from 1981 to 1985. He was U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. from 2001 to 2004, and ambassador to Iraq from June 2004 to April 2005 where death squads also operated.
