Riesgos de Contagio 9 de cada 10 enfermos de Sida adquirieron el VIH Anted de los 25 anos SIDA El VIH-SIDA es una enfermedad infecciosa causada por el Virus de la Inmunodeficiencia Humana (VIH), que ataca al sistema de defensa del ser humano y lo deja desprotegido ante cualqier microorganismo. El virus entra el organismo y se reproduce sin causar sintomas pro mucho tiempo. Es cuando se dice que una persona es seropositiva; es decir, que tiene el virus pero aun no ha desarrollado la enfermedad. Poco a poco los virus atacan las defensas y dejan al organismo expuesto a enfermedades e infecciones que puedan causar la muerte. Todos los que no expongamos a cualqiera de las formas de transmision nos podemos contagiar del virus, sin importar nuestro sexo, edad, raza, orientacion sexual o condicion social. El VIH-SIDA se transmite por tres mecanismos: 1. Contacto sexual con una persona infectada, cuando existe intercambio con fluidos corporales: semen, liquido preeyeculatoriom fluidos vahinales y menstruales. 2. A traves de una transfusion de sangre infectada, depositada en aguas y jeringas, y trasplantes de organos contaminados. 3. A traves de una madre infectada, a su hijo por nacer, durante el embarazo, el parto o al amamantarlo. Como se puede evitar el contagio del SIDA? 1. No teniendo relaciones sexuales o teniendolas con una sola pareja que no este infectada y que sea fiel. 2. Evitando el intercambio de fluidos corporales mediante practicas de relaciones sexuales sin penetracion (Sexo Seguro). 3. Usar una barrera que impida ese intercambrio como el condon (Sexo Protegido) 4. Solo utilizando en las transfusiones sangre que haya sido previamente analizada y este libre de virus (Sangre Segura) 5. Siempre utiliza jeringas y agujas desechables. Por que es importante usar el condon? Por que usar el condon puede salvar tu vida, ya que si lo empleas correcta y regularmente evita el contagio. La practica sexual con condon se conoce como Sexo Protegido Como NO se transmite el VIH-SIDA?
