Visualize This. The image on the right is a normal T-cell which defends the immune system from infection. The image of the left is an HIV infected T-cell. NY photographer Nancy Burson collaborated with scientist Kunio Nagashima, to image the cells on a microscope the size of a room. She and her friends plastered a NY neighborhood with hundreds of the posters. Her intention was to give HIV-infected people an image of a healthy cell. With a mental picture, they might be able to begin healing themselves.
