Karl Peix (* March 27 1899 in Herzberg am Harz , † November 6 1941 in Goslar ) was a German politician ( KPD ) and Nazi victims. Peix completed by the end of his school career a lesson to brush maker. At the First World War took Peix as a soldier. After the war he was employed from December 1919 as an applicator in the enamelling Lauterberger MIAG. There he was involved in the workers' concerns and was therefore terminated. In USPD in 1920, he joined in 1921 and member of the KPD after bath Lauterberg , whose founders he belonged. Peix 1928 Chairman of the Communist Party in the sub-district Lauterberg. In addition, he served on the city council of Bad Lauterberg, and received credentials of deputies in the county council and county council Osterode, Hannover. In the fall of 1941, Kramer and Peix on instructions from the camp commandant Karl Otto Koch moved into the external command of Goslar, where both on 6 November 1941 were shot in quick succession from behind. Their bodies were on the 8th November 1941 in the Buchenwald crematorium burned. Peix wife Marie, whom he had met in 1919 and also member of the KPD had survived imprisonment in concentration camps.
